1. Participants must study the rules and regulations listed below carefully. Participants who have completed the registration process to abided by the rules and regulations of the event.
2. A confirmation email will be sent to the participants upon successful registration. If you do not receive the confirmation email after your registration, please contact us by email [email protected], call (852) 21171650 or WhatsApp (852) 60876795 for assistance.
3. Once the application is accepted, application fee is non-refundable & non-transferable under any circumstance. A confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address within 10 working days after the Organiser has received the registration. Otherwise, please contact the Organiser immediately.
4. Repeated applications in same race will be counted as a single application. The extra application fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another applicant or other races. Also, the submitted form and information will not be returned.
5. The personal information collected in Food Angel CIty Hunger Hunt 2026 will be stored in SPORTSOHO's server and will only be used for contact purposes of this event. The information will be kept strictly confidential and will be destroyed within one month after the relevant purpose is completed. 6. Participants aged below 18 must obtain consent from a respective parent / guardian.
7. Registration fee is NOT eligible for tax reduction.
Race Pack
1. A notification email notice regarding collection of race pack will be sent to the registered participants two weeks before the event day.
2. Participants have to show either the hard copy or electronic copy of the notification email to our staff to collect the race pack & event materials.
Rules of the Competition
1. Within the specified time period of 2 hours (counting starts from departure), teams have to check-in at different checkpoints with the help of the competition map provided by Organiser on the day of the event and return to the finish line before or within the time limit.
2. All the checkpoints with different scores are scattered in the race area. The score of each checkpoint is varied depending on the distance, level of difficulty, etc. In some checkpoints with special tasks, all team members are required to complete them together to get bonus score.
3. The competition is a “score-orienteering competition”. The team with the highest score will become the champion. If there is a tie in scores, the team with shorter finishing time will be the winner.
4. Teams finishing late will be penalized at certain points per minute. The penalty will be counted in minutes. Teams passing the finish line with more than 10 minutes late may be disqualified.
5. Each team member will be given a bib number for identification. Participants should put on their bibs on their chest and ensure they are clearly visible to the staff member at all times. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify those who fail to comply.
6. Each team will be given an electronic timing clip. Whenever a team reaches or completes the checkpoint task(s), the team is required to tap the clip for timing and marking the locations.
7. If any participant lost the number bibs and/or electronic timing clip during competition, he/she together with his / her team members should return to Start / Finish point together for re-issuing the number bibs/timing clip. Violation of this will be disqualified.
8. Teams compete on a self-sufficient basis. Any support in whatever form or manner i.e., deliberately following other teams is not allowed.
9. Participants must comply with the traffic rules i.e., use of pedestrian facilities. Violation of this rule, including “running the red light” will risk disqualification.
10. To complete the competition, all team members of participating team should depart from the start point, check-in at the checkpoints after completing the tasks and arrive at the finish point all together. Violation of this will risk disqualification.
11. Removing or damaging any checkpoint devices and venue properties are prohibited. Violating teams shall undertake the obligation for indemnity.
12. During the race, participants must travel on foot or by public transportation only. You are not allowed to use private cars, taxis, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bikes or rent a van. Otherwise you will be disqualified.
Before the Event
1. If there is an absence of teammate(s) before or during the competition, the team is still allowed to participate in the competition but will not be eligible for the awards. Teams with less than two participants in any situation will not be allowed to start or participate in the competition.
2. Teams should arrive at the event venue at designated time of check-in. All team members should be present, with the number bibs attached. Except for those who have officially reported to withdraw, the Organiser reserves the right to reject check-in for teams that are incomplete.
3. Teams should enter the waiting area at designated time. Competition maps will be distributed when all team members are checked-in. Once the competition maps are distributed to all team members, all team members are not allowed to leave the waiting area.
4. Baggage storage will be provided. Please do not bring any valuable item. The Organiser is not responsible for the lost or damage of the baggage stored. Participants are deemed to be accepting this term when using the baggage storage service.
During Event
1. The Organiser encourages wearing the event T-shirt or proper sportswear.
2. In the spirit of environment protection, all participants are encouraged to keep the place clean. The Organiser encourages them to recycle any empty bottles and food packages.
3. Arrival time of each team will be based on the timestamp recorded at checkpoints in the system. If teams suspect any unsuccessful timestamp recording, please report to the staff members on site, punch a hole on the spare punched area printed on the map using the mechanical puncher provided at each checkpoint for record. All results are subjected to the system. Teams should ensure that the electronic timing clips is properly tapped, otherwise the score will not be counted.
4. Participants should take a fair, honest and friendly attitude, and show respects towards other participants, staff members and residents in the event area.
Quitting During the Competition
1. Participants who intend to quit during the competition must report to the nearest checkpoint and return the electronic timing clips. We will record the information of the participant (Teams cannot compete for the awards if any one of the members quit during the competition).
2. Participants who quit during the competition must report and return the electronic timing clips to us. If any missing team member(s) is found at the finish line, the team may be disqualified.
After Event
1. Teams are required to return the electronic timing clips after the competition. All equipment is required to be returned to the Organiser. If found damaged or lost during the event, teams will be subjected to a compensation of HK $500 per chip.
2. If there is/are individual participants who quit during the competition, teams must report to staff members before tapping the final checkpoint at the finish line. Otherwise, the Organiser reserves the right to reject check-in at the finish line.
Health and Safety Advice
1. Public liability insurance is covered by the Organiser. Participants are advised to purchase their own insurance cover if necessary.
2. Participants should understand the event content and nature and participation of this event requires physical exertion. Participants should be in sound medical condition capable for participating in the event. The Organiser suggests all participants to monitor their own physical conditions deemed fit and capable for participating in the event. In case you are feeling sick or unwell during the event, you should immediately stop the activity and do seek help from the onsite race officials.
3. People who are pregnant or with chronic diseases, like heart disease and high blood pressure, are not recommended to participate in the event. Participants should make sure their health condition is suitable for the race. In case of doubt, please seek medical advice in advance.
4. The Organiser reserves the right to disallow or disqualify any person who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the event and such person shall accept.
5. Participants should take protective measures against UV, such as applying sunscreen, wearing cap and ensuring water replenishment.
6. First aids are available inside the start/finish point and at several checkpoints. (Printed on the map)
7. Please pay attention to your physical condition. Never leave your team members unattended in any circumstances.
8. If your team member is injured or exhausted, please send him / her to the nearest checkpoint / first aid depot for help; or call the emergency hotline, indicate the location and accompany him / her until the first-aider arrives. (Printed on the map)
Adverse Weather Arrangements
1. If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted at any time from 8:00 a.m. on the day before the event, the event will be cancelled.
2. If the Red Rainstorm Signal is hoisted at any time from 4:00 a.m. on the event day, the event will be cancelled.
3. If the competition is cancelled due to the above Inclement Weather/Condition Warnings hoisting, registration fee will not be refunded.
4. If the Hong Kong Observatory forecasts inclement weather on the day of the event with a high likelihood of weather warnings being issued, the Organiser has the right to amend the race route or postpone the event. The registration fee will not be refunded.

Penalty & Appeals
1. The penalty for breaching any of the aforementioned rules is subject to disqualification. Any team disqualified under this rule shall be recorded as disqualified (DQ).
2. On the event day, the winners list will be announced on site. Appeals to the winners list must be submitted within 15 minutes after result announcements by filling in the form and paying HK $100 deposit to the Information Counter located at the finish line. The deposit will be forfeited if the appeal is unsuccessful.
3. The Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any disputes or appeals submitted after the 7-day grace period.
Others
1. If the event is cancelled due to venue unavailability, the arrangement will be announced on this event website and Facebook page of Sportsoho Media Limited.
2. Baggage storage will be provided. Please do not bring any valuable item. The Organiser is not responsible for the lost or damage of the baggage stored. Participants are deemed to be accepting this term when using the baggage storage service.
3. Should there be any emergency or assistance needed during the event, participants shall contact the officials at the information center.
4. All prizes are not redeemable for cash.
5. The Organiser reserves the right to amend or clarify the above race rules.

1. Any member of the Food Angel, our employees and the operating units operated by us;

Languages
The Important Notes are in Chinese and English. In the case of discrepancies between the Chinese and English versions, the Chinese version shall prevail. The Organiser reserves the right to interpret and amend the Important Notes and regulations as it sees fit from time to time.
